Islam is a religion of nature. It has taken into account the social consciousness of man. Islam not only recognizes the sociality that arises from the interaction of human beings. It also supports the development and growth of this sociality and gives it such natural principles that strengthen it. It provides a righteous foundation for it and eliminates such factors that distort it or make it limited and useless. And Islam considers the individuality of the individual as the basis. The groups that the individual forms for social life. Islam encourages it and provides principles and laws for them. The first social unit of Islam is its family, which includes husband and wife, parents, relatives, neighbors, and then the common human brother. Islam has given detailed rules regarding each of them. There are some basic principles and characteristics of the Islamic social system on which the entire social structure is built. And Islam claims that Allah Almighty explained to man the principles needed for individual and collective life, and the Lord of the Worlds provided him with the basic thought and guidance he needed. The intellectual differences among humans are their own creation. Allah Almighty did not give them intellectual disunity, but rather gave them intellectual unity. The Quran has described it in very comprehensive words. Mankind was one nation, so Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good news and warners (Al-Baqarah: 213). Islam wants a society in which the standards of good and evil are determined. Because a society in which there is no effort to establish mutual good and eradicate evil eventually perishes. Therefore, Islam first identified those matters that prove fatal to the society. And also mentioned those sins that destroy the faith of the individual and the community. The book under review, “The Social System of Islam,” is the work of Dr. Khalid Alavi, in which he describes Islam and modern social ideologies and explains the principles of Islam on which the social system of Islam is based. And due to its characteristics, it is different and unique from all the social systems of the world. The social system of Islam is based on goodness and reform, purity and holiness, compassion and goodwill, and moderation and balance. This system contains a complete system for the individual and collective well-being of man. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to live according to Islamic society. Amen.
