The basic issues that the author addresses in his book... What is Zionism? Where did it come from? What tricks did the Jews use to promote it? What cunning and deceitful schemes did Western politicians use? How did the so-called liberal intellectuals, novelists, poets, essayists, travel writers, and other sympathizers of Zionism pave the way? What efforts did the Zionists themselves make to settle in Palestine and what interpretations did they resort to to prove their claim true? When Israel was established, how were the Palestinians deported? And despite all the claims, how have they been kept as second-class citizens to this day? How did the Palestinians organize the freedom movement and how did Palestinian poets, storytellers, other writers, authors, and intellectuals pave the way for and nurture this movement? How did the PLO and other movements come into being? What were the results of the 1967 war? What flowers did the Camp David Accords bloom? What is the possible solution to the Palestinian problem from the Palestinian point of view? Etc.... has been made the subject of his book and the extensive discussion he has had on them helps us a lot in seeing this problem in its correct perspective. In fact, if it is said that this problem has been presented correctly for the first time, it would not be wrong. Edward Said wrote this book with the aim of unmasking the real face of Zionism and exposing the disgusting role played by the so-called liberal politicians and intellectuals of the West in this regard. How far he succeeded in this goal can be gauged from the fact that the Zionists made this book disappear from the market, and now it is available only to a lucky few.

Edward Said was born in Jerusalem. He received his primary and secondary education in schools in Jerusalem and Egypt, then he came to America. He received his BA from Princeton University. Edward Said received his MA and PhD from the same university. Here he also received the Bowdoin Prize. In 1974, Edward Said was a visiting professor of comparative literature at Harvard University. In 1975-76, he served as a fellow in the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. In 1977, he lectured on literary criticism at Princeton University. In 1979, he was a visiting professor in the Department of Humanities at Johns Hopkins University, another famous American university. Later, he was a professor of English and comparative literature at Columbia University in New York. He is credited with being a critic of the famous novelist Conrad. Edward Said's books have been translated into eight languages and have been published in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Columbia University awarded him its first annual Trilling Prize for his book "Beginnings: Intention & Method". In 1978, his book “Orientalism” came in second place in the criticism category of the National Book Critics Circle Award in the United States. His other books include “Literature and Society” and “Conrad and the Fiction of Autobiography”. Muhammad Hassan Askari and Faiz Ahmed Faiz have mentioned Edward Said in good words. Edward Said himself has fondly mentioned his meeting with Faiz Ahmed Faiz in Beirut in an article. This article was published in a British magazine “Granta”. In return for presenting the Palestinian position in a forceful manner, the Zionists have not only verbally but also physically attacked him. Edward Said was also a member of the Palestinian National Council. He died on September 25, 2003 in New York City.
