The book “Sharh-ul-Sunnah” is the work of Muhi-ul-Sunnah Abu Muhammad-ul-Husayn bin Masood bin Muhammad bin Al-Fara’ Al-Baghawi (died: 516 AH). This book is the best collection of hadiths in the books of hadith. It contains detailed mention of difficulties, oddities and jurisprudential issues. It also provides solutions to the difficulties of hadiths and explains the strange words. According to Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddith Dehlwi (may Allah have mercy on him), this book is very sufficient and clear in the jurisprudence of hadith and explanation of difficulties. Since this great book is Arabic, Idara Nasar-ul-Sunnah, Lahore has had the privilege of publishing its first Urdu translation in 7 volumes with research and compilation. The smooth Urdu translation was done by Maulana Abu Thumama Muhammad Abdullah Salim, may Allah protect him, and the research and compilation was done by the virtue of Sheikh Abu Al-Qasim Muhammad Mahfouz Awan, may Allah protect him.
