TAJ MAHAL

This spirit is found in the Islamic architecture of India from beginning to end. A glance at these buildings proves to the viewer how this art developed in India from generation to generation and how it reached its perfection in the time of Shah Jahan. Of course, those who have seen the “Taj Mahal” are forced to admit that art has reached its peak. The list of buildings shows how much construction the Muslims did during their reign and what amazing cultural progress they are expressing. But according to a historian: “Shah Jahan built many buildings, each of which is more beautiful than the other, but among them all is the Taj Mahal, the tomb of his beloved queen Arjumand Banu Begum (Mumtaz Mahal), a manifestation of the rarest imagination and the most delicate passion, which the world has not yet been able to find an answer to. It is said that Begum had bequeathed to her crowned husband on his deathbed that his tomb should be made in a way that was unparalleled in the world, and the “Taj” was the fulfillment of this will. This book is a tribute not only to the craftsmen of the Taj but also to all those craftsmen and artisans who worked hard to make our civilization glorious from the time of Qutubuddin Aibak to the fall of the Mughal Empire. This is the result of the hard work of our history and an example of our civilizational misfortune. Otherwise, if we consider from the Qutub Minar to the last building of the Islamic era, there would be hundreds of craftsmen and artisans who were trying to make our civilization a monument in the world. Just as these craftsmen and artisans tried to establish our monuments in the world, in the same way, I have tried to establish their monument today through this book.
