The disease that afflicts humans is from Allah, and Allah Almighty has also revealed the cure for every disease, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Allah Almighty has revealed the cure for every disease. It is a different matter whether someone has found out about it and someone has not.” It is proven from the Sunnah to treat diseases with well-known methods (spiritual treatment, treatment with medicine and food, treatment with cupping). There is a strong connection between faith and treatment for salvation from spiritual and physical diseases. If there is maturity in the state of faith, then healing from the disease will also be rapid. The Imams of Hadith have also established chapters in the books of Hadith under the name of Kitab al-Tibb and some Imams have also compiled independent books on medicine. Imam Ibn al-Qayyim’s Tibb al-Nabawi is worth mentioning. Similarly, some medical experts have written books keeping in mind the medicine of the Prophet, modern science, and contemporary research. In this regard, the books of Dr. Khalid Ghaznavi are very important. The book under review, “Tib Nabawi (PBUH) and Modern Science” is a two-volume work by the Ghaznavi family and Pakistan’s renowned Dr. Khalid Ghaznavi. This book is a treasure trove of the medical gifts of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). It examines all the diseases of the mouth and stomach, their symptoms and causes, and then compares them with modern and ancient medicine. He has written this book after much effort, hard work and study. It details and explains all the items and medicines mentioned in the Prophetic hadiths. Dr. Khalid Ghaznavi is a practitioner of modern medicine and in this capacity he is the first physician in Pakistan who, with all sincerity and understanding, made the Prophetic Medicine his guide and did not let his treatments go beyond the scope of the Prophetic Medicine. He worked on about twenty-eight plants of Prophetic medicine from a practical and scientific perspective and provided comprehensive information on the functions and properties of these plants. He also made modern chemistry a guide in this field of research and created a new path for the study of modern research on these plants. Dr. Khalid Ghaznavi, as a good person and a compassionate physician, had the honor of presenting his observations and experiences in this field of research and investigation along with scientific and medical facts. Which provides guidelines for physicians and now it has become possible to use these plants of Prophetic medicine in treatments in hospitals. May Allah Almighty accept the efforts of the doctor (Amen).
