History is actually the name of the events and stories of those brave and perfect people who have forever recorded their names on the page of history, therefore, studying historical books is extremely useful. Nawab Zulqadar Jang Bahadur's book "Khilafah al-Andalus" is very reliable and is the best book available in Urdu on the Islamic history of Andalusia. In this book, the story of the rise and fall of Muslims in Spain has been compiled with great effort based on ancient and modern authentic histories and the merits of the scientific and cultural achievements of the reign of the Sultans of Andalusia have been written in detail. The book has four parts in total: Part One mentions the amazing conquests and achievements of the nobles who ruled Andalusia during the Umayyad Caliphate (Damascus). This was a time of amazing progress for Muslims in Andalusia. Part Two contains a detailed history of the Sultans of Andalusia and the Umayyad Caliphs. The third part deals with the conditions of the autonomous rulers and the Almoravid dynasty (i.e. the family of Yusuf ibn Tashfin) and the Almohads, the wars of the Muslims with the Christians, the expulsion of the Muslims from Andalusia, and the general conditions of Islamic Andalusia. That is, this part contains a heartbreaking story of the exemplary decline of the Muslims. The fourth part deals with the conditions of the famous scholars and sages of Andalusia, the narrators of hadiths, and historians, and an introduction to their works. This part is very useful for scholars and dear students. In short, this book is a very authentic and complete history of Islamic Andalusia. Also, the author's writing style is literary, which has doubled the enjoyment of the book.
